Canadian blogger Angela Dunn knows firsthand what it takes to deliver what her readers want. An accomplished storyteller, she’s put in long hours honing her skills and her ability to let creative ideas manifest themselves through her work. That’s why her power to charm her audience will never be replaced by AI. “I’m giving my readers a glimpse of my soul,” she says.

Photographer Ben van Skyhawk explains how brands like Under Amour and Adidas rely on stunning athleisure imagery which requires highlighting the product and the brand through action. Sure, AI can help analyze the thousands of pictures accumulated during a photo shoot. It can’t, however, replace the collective effort, experience and personal taste of the team members as they make the final selection of photos to be used in the campaign.

Artist Axel Schmid’s current project rings all the bells around AI in art. Using only pencil and paper, Schmid has drawn thousands of completely unique three-dimensional cube-shaped objects. He could train an AI agent to replace the many repetitive, manual moves needed for each drawing, but that would just be an exercise in prompting. By creating ten thousand balanced compositions without ever repeating a single element, his project shows that despite its power and speed, AI still falls short of human originality and character.
